Relatives and acquaintances visits
Only two visitors per patient are allowed in the same room.
It is forbidden to sit on patients’ beds and use the toilets in hospital rooms. Special toilets are available for visitors.
It is recommended not to bring food or drink to patients unless your doctor tells you to.
During the health activities visitors are asked to leave the rooms. Children under 12 years of age should not be admitted to hospital.
Visiting opening hours
SSN hospitalization
Monday to Saturday 17.30 – 19.30
Sundays and holidays at 11.30-13.30 and 16.00– 19.30.
Hospitalization for private and affiliated patients
Every day at 10.00 – 21.00.
During the health activities visitors are asked to leave the rooms.
Patients admitted to Intensive Therapy after surgery
Every day 17.00 – 18.00.
Access is allowed to one person per patient. Before entering the Intensive Therapy visitors must wear hat, mask, lab coats and overshoes.
Meals
Meals are distributed in the room. Attendants are to support non-autonomous patients.
The hours are as follows:
7.30 – breakfast
11.45 – lunch
15.15 – snack
18.00 – dinner
20.00 – chamomile
Vegetarian patients or patients with eating habits related to religious or ethnic reasons can report their needs to the nursing coordinator.
Integrated private assistance
Nursing care for the patient is guaranteed exclusively by Humanitas. Activities of people and/or associations offering private nursing services to the patient in any capacity are not permitted.
Humanitas San Pio X allows family members to be supported for activities to support hospitalization in accordance with the rules of conduct for external visitors.
Discharge
The patient receives a letter/health report from the doctor responsible for the treatment. Any copy of the medical record or of an extract from it may be requested from the Hospital Office and withdrawn by the person concerned or delegated person. It is possible to request delivery to home by registered mail.
In case the patient wishes to be discharged, despite the doctor’s opinion to the contrary, he will have to sign a special declaration relieving the hospital of all responsibility for this decision.
Religious assistance
Every afternoon it is possible to receive the visit of the Catholic spiritual assistant, which is always traceable through the switchboard. Those who wish can receive Holy Communion every morning, making a request directly to the spiritual assistant, the health care worker or the volunteers.
It is possible to communicate with the minister of worship other than the Catholic one making a request to the spiritual assistant.
In case of hospitalization, it is possible to access the Chapel,wearing the dressing gown or the bedroom jacket, giving prior notice to the nurse coordinator or his deputy. The Church is on the ground floor.
The timetable of the High Masses is:
weekdays at 16.30– Saturdays at 19.15 and Sundays at 10.00 and 17.30.

Communications can be sent by mail or fax upon request to the nursing coordinator.
Bars and refreshment points
Room service is available (internal telephone number 6119). You can also go to the bar after communicating it to the staff of the department.
The bar is open from Monday to Friday 7.00 – 19.00, Saturday 7.00 – 17.00 and Sunday 8.00 – 17.00.
Drinks and snacks are also available to the public in the living rooms of the wards
Canteen Service
Parents and carers of hospitalized patients can access the self service, buying food vouchers at the Hospital Office.
The canteen is open from Monday to Sunday at 12.00 – 14.30.
